  113. What's strange is that although I spent most of my life in the Baltimore City
  114. Public Schools, I began my formal education through a Catholic institution
  115. (Saint Mary's School and Rectory on York Road and Markfield), and I learned
  116. everything that I needed to know in just 2 years.  I sincerely doubt in public
  117. school, the teaching material in the third grade includes beginning geometry
  118. (no joke).

  121. get excellent starts (and no matter if you believe in the religion or not, fact
  122. is, they DO have much better education methods than public school).

  161.     How long does it take seeds to sprout?  It depends on variety, how old
  162. they are, and how they have been stored.  It takes between 48 hours and 4
  163. weeks.

  165.     The optimum amount of light for marijuana at all growth stages except
  166. young clones is full sunlight, or an artificial equivalent therof.  For youn
  167. clones or seedlings, 80 watts of flourescent light will do.  During flowering,
  168. you want the light as bright as you can possibly get it.

  170.     For the first four weeks of your plants life, the light should be on 24
  171. hours a day.  AFter that, 18 hours  of light is OK.  When you are ready to
  172. force your plants to flower, cut the light to a max of 12 hours per day, and
  173. never interrupt the dark cycle.

  175.     As far as fertilizer is concerned, you will need it if you are using
  176. potting soil bought from a store.  Chicken shit is great.  If you must use
  177. chemical fertilizers, do not use any for the first 30 days unless your plants
  178. show nutrient deprivation.  If it is a houseplant-type food, you'll want to
  179. use it at their maximum recommended amount.  Marijuana is not a houseplant.
  180. The fertilizer should be high in nitrogen, but an even numbered fertilizer,
  181. like a 10-10-10 or 20-20-20 will also do, if it is not even numbered, make
  182. sure the first number (the nitrogen) is the highest.  10-8-5 would be OK.
